Activities Information

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur – Cameron Highlands (220 km)

  • Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), meet & greet
  • Travel north to the hill resort of Cameron Highlands. Stands at 1,820 metres above sea level, it is synonymous with fresh fruits and vegetables, horticultural and tea plantation nourished by fertile and rich terrain.
  • En-route, you may chance upon seeing Orang Asli (Malaysia aboriginals) on hunting trip, carrying their long blowpipes with poison darts.
  • Stop by at Lata Iskandar Waterfall. Immerse in the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands with its wonderful scenery.
  • Check-in at hotel.
  • Afternoon visit vegetables and fruit farms, not to be missed is the visit to a tea plantation and its tea processing plant.
  • The evening is free at leisure.

Day 2: Cameron Highlands – Penang (330 km)

  • Breakfast at hotel and check out
  • Early morning set off to Penang.
  • Stop at the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar to appreciate the mesmerizing Ubudiah Mosque, the attractive Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan which was built without a single nail. The visits of these three interesting sites are from the outside.
  • Discover interesting handicrafts of the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar by embarking on a river cruise amidst a rustic ambiance that is rich in history with live narration. Disembark to visit the unique process of keris (dagger) making, a dying art. Synonymous with the Malay culture and way of life, the keris is a status symbol for Malay Royalties and Dignitaries.
  • Lastly visit the Labu Sayong Center where unique shaped pots are made with deft hands and creative inspirations mostly by womenfolk. The cool water from the pots is believed to have healing properties.
  • Cross over to Penang, better known as the “Pearl of the Orient” via one of the longest bridge in the world.

Day 3: Discovery Tour of Georgetown, Penang

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • At 9:00am we’ll depart from the hotel for a City, Culture, and Heritage tour of Georgetown, which has been official declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008.
  • Visit the third longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as Temple of 1000 Buddhas, that was built in 1904. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in SouthEast Asia. Next we visit Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang.
  • The tour carries on with a visit to the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, so named as residents of each jetty share similar surname. We next take you along Pitt Street, also known as “The Street of Harmony”. Here churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built along the same street in harmonious existence side by side for centuries.
  • Visit the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride, a still popular mode of transport in Georgetown.
  • Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at your own leisure. In the late evening, you can explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style!

Day 4: Penang – Kota Bharu (400 km)

  • Breakfast at hotel and check out
  • Depart at 8:30am, traveling west to east overland across Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range, which offers breathtaking views of the dense tropical rain forest whilst journeying through villages and plantations.
  • En route, we will make a photo stop on Banding Island with its scenic view of the famous Temenggor lake, which is good spot for a lunch break (not inclusive in tour price) or enjoying the scenery of the calm picturesque lake surrounded by the grand and immense tropical rainforest in the background.
  • Continue to Kota Bharu, Kelantan and check in upon arrival. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

 

Day 5: Kota Bharu – Kuala Terengganu (170 km)

  • Breakfast at hotel and check out
  • At 8:30am, we start the day with a visit to the famous and colorful wet market of Kota Bharu and the traditional cottage industries such as silver handicraft and songket weaving. We continue our visit to traditional Wau (kite) making.
  • Thereafter, drive along the scenic coastline southward towards Kuala Terengganu, tasting some keropok, the very popular local chips made of fish or prawn.
  • This is followed with witnessing trained monkey plucking coconuts before we head to the hotel.
  • Check in to the hotel. Free and easy day at own leisure. 

Day 6 : Kuala Terengganu – Kuantan (250 km)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Check out of hotel at 8:00am, heading towards Kuantan.
  • Stop in Kuala Terengganu to visit Pulau Duyong, famous for its traditional way of boat making in the region. A must is the visit to the Islamic Civilization Park at the Waterfront Heritage City of Kuala Terengganu showcasing twenty replicas of great Islamic monuments of the world such as Alhambra Citadel of Spain, Taj Mahal of Agra India, Masjidil Haram of Mecca Saudi Arabia, Dome of the Rock Palestine and many more.
  • Proceed to Kuantan. On route, taste the “lemang”, rice cooked with coconut milk in bamboo, a popular Malay delicacy not to be missed.
  • As we head further south towards Cherating in the district of Kuantan, we will stop at a scenic coastal fishing village and visit a turtle information Centre where you can learn more of this endangered species of the sea.
  • This is followed by an afternoon tea break before visiting the final stop at homegrown Batik Gallery, Malaysia’s famous art textile made from wax, using hand-drawn or hand-blocked technique. Continue to hotel and check in.

Kuantan – Kuala Lumpur (270 km)

  • At 8:30am we’ll depart for Kuala Lumpur.
  • En-route stop at the quaint historic town of Sungai Lembing, situated Northwest from Kuantan. Stop at a hanging bridge for a scenic view of the surroundings.
  • Visit Sungai Lembing Museum, dedicated to the memories of the heydays of Sungai Lembing as the town with the largest, longest and deepest subterranean tin mine in the world
  • Continue to experience the living museum on foot and visit the underground tunnel which once known as the El-Dorado of the East.
  • Continue and drop-off in Kuala Lumpur, where the tour ends.

Deposit & Payment

Booking deposit* (non-refundable) of the full payment should be paid after your booking has been verified by Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours. Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours reserves the right to cancel your booking if you fail to make a full-payment 45 days before travelling dates.

* 30% or more deposit is required at time of booking as it depends on type of package.

* RM 1000/person for group series muslim tour package with travelling date more than 3 months.

Additional info for FIT Tour Package included the air ticket

  1. Upon registration and confirmation of airline ticket request, Traveller must remit full payment for airline ticket according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI Travel.
  2. For ground and other payments, traveler must remit booking deposit (a 100 % non-refundable) of 30% from the package price (excluding airline ticket) within three (3) days after registration or according to the dateline advised by person- in- charge in AMI. Balance payment must be made thirty (45) days prior to departure date or according to the dateline as advised by the person-in-charge in AMI.

Amendment

  • No changes can be made within 48 days before departure
  • If participant wants to come back later or earlier than the expected date of arrival in Malaysia, participant must send an e-mail or letter 45 days before the travelling dates and it is subject to the discretion of Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours. However, Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours reserves the right to reject or accept it.
  • If allowed, any additional cost is participant’s responsibilities. Participant also will be charged for admin fee.

  • Booking cancellation from the participant should be done through email or letter and must be sent to Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours for avoiding any misunderstanding

Importance

  1. Price is subject to change which based on currency fluctuation.
  2. Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours reserves the right to amend the itinerary without prior notice.

  4. There will be no tour leader from Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours that will join this tour.
  5. Refund will not be paid immediately and will take more than 2 months.
  6. All hotel and flight details are for reference only and subject to change till you get the verification from Al Masyhur International Travel & Tours.
  7. Not all hotels provide electric kettle and ironing facilities. It is advisable to bring your own.
  8. Not all hotels have triple room. So that, triple sharing room is based on twin sharing room with extra bed. Each room must be at least 2 adults paying full fare then only follow by child fare.
  9. This package is not includes flight ticket unless it is stated, you will be charge RM 40/ticket/person if you want to book flight tickets with us.
  10. Validity of the passport must be more than 6 (six) months from arrival date.
  11. A copy of passport should be emailed to the tour officer 45 days before departure
  12. It is advisable to check and ensure that you are eligible to go to overseas and your name is not being blacklisted. (’Blacklist’: Bank Debts, PTPTN and others). We will not hold any responsibilities if you are not allowed to travel on the day of your departure. Check status here
  13. For package with Halal meals, meals are suitable for Muslims except breakfast which will be served in standard international buffet menu. In places which Halal meals are hardly to find, we will serve meals based on seafood, vegetarian or packed halal meals.

  15. No refund or reduction will be made to any member in for accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services which are included in the tour fare but not utilized by the tour member due to personal reasons.

  17. For group series if we have less participant, the participants will be combine with our consortium partner.
